Urgh :L

The whole song has just got louder, not clearer. Most of the song is no pushing the reds and is actually painful to listen to. You've taken 1 step forward and 2 backwards :L The original was so good, but all this version does is amplify the muddy parts of the original. So close to perfection, yet so far. Try again, please! :)

It actually just depends on what you're listening through bro. In my bass-biased headphones, I end up getting enough bass (which is actually an illusion, cuz there's no bass through other systems). I disagree; there is no clipping in the track at any point, which is what the red signifies. Sure, it's louder, but so be it; if you think it's too loud, then you can always manually adjust the volume so that it's more comfortable to listen to on your system. I will agree that the muddy parts come out more, which is because I was applying new techniques to an old track...and because of that, I didn't actually fix the tone, but only attempted to mix it differently. I really don't consider this 1 step forward and 2 steps back; I was simply exercising some new techniques I learned, and it ended up not working out. Oh well. Not every experiment will work out, will it?

Sik tune man!

Really original and intriguing, and some of the synths are really trippy! Are you still with FaceKiller Productions? They seem to have gone siletn :L Anyways, peace.

Proffesional?

It is a very good song, but it does not sound professional in my honest opinion. A lot of the EQing (or lack of EQing) has resulted in lots of muddy bass. The intro seems to be a bit too outgoing, almost sounding like a techno song. The Bitcrushed bass is far to loud and regularly overwhelms the beat, which itself is rather empty. I'm sorry, but I don't see why this song is so popular :L I guess that's just me....

mr-jazzman responds:

Lol I think it has mostly to do with the artistic-ness of it. To each his own, I guess. Btw, my skills have gotten far better since producing this number, and I definitely understand the weaknesses in this one that I've tried to correct in my current projects.

...Also the muddiness is due to more than just EQing. It has some faulty compression (or lack thereof), and no side-chaining to speak of. Oh well. I'm trying to fix this as I speak.

Thanks for the upload :D

Upload the finished version! (Of Little Value) :D Glad to be of help ;)

FKProductions responds:

Haha, will do now! Sorry it's taken so long!

YAY!

Yay another new FK member! This song sounds very professional. It has a very druving progression which hooked me from the very start. Some very slight EQing issues but nohing which majorly detracts from the overall experience. I expect big things from this guy ;)

FKProductions responds:

I think he's in the Army at the moment :/

What about YOU? :D

Stunning

This is without doubt one of the best songs on NG. The dynamic, constantly varying instruments prevent the tune from getting boring. The beat is super bouncy and makes me want to keep listening. The bassline is very stripped back but powerful at the same time. The levels are almost perfect. The only reason I'm not giving it a 10 is because in my honest opinion, the intro is to long. I recommend a 55 second intro, drop with the bouncy beat, a break, then a drop with a more typical dubstep beat. Quality song mate, keeping churning choons! :D

Thanks a lot man, glad to hear a good honest review

I...JUST...

CANT...STOP...DANCING! Love the bouncy groove you got going here, love the use of stereo channels, little bit concerned about the lack of filters and effects added to everything else, but I give this a 10 simply because it made me bounce! :d Oh wait, you didn't make the beat yourself, sorry, I have to give you an 8! Don't be so lazy next time! EPIC CHOON!

Thanks!

Holy Shit!

That suprised the hell outta me! Thanks for the upload :D

FKProductions responds:

Hehe

Needs improvement :S

Where is the snare!?!?! Dubstep MUST have a snare to drive the song along :) The bass sounds a little too...simple for my liking. Try using a VST like Albino or Massive next time, and if you already are, add multiple oscillators and distort your bass! Good for a first effort! :D

EthosProphecy responds:

i used a 3xosc for the bass. i may be a bit to simple but whatever.
im using a Ohmside distortion vst on my bass.
the snare is there, just cant really hear it, there is also snare in the kick.
I will put more in my next work.

thanks for the comment
